Florence Peake's MAKE takes an irreverent look at how sculpture is created, displayed and maintained. A task force of ten women build and then dismantle a monolithic structure through a series of choreographed tasks; ritualising, parodying and unveiling the often hidden labour of art-making. Through playful acts of absurd endeavour, MAKE deconstructs the traditional reverence towards and god-like status of the artist as author.

Co-produced by Artsadmin and Dance Art Foundation in association with BALTIC.
